A sneaky peak at the working progress, in order to be more creative, as i was told 'I needed to give it a little something more', I decided to literally attach sweets, this has been a sticky and generally tricky thing to do, and they will probably fall off, however I think it lives up to the theme very well.

The Final design

A front and back view of my final corset design, the contruction process has begun and despite a great deal of difficulty sewing with the pvc, the outcome should be fantastic, so it's worth the stress and unpicking that I've gone through

Corsetry (so far)

'Candybox' with a bit of fetish (as always)

Bright cupcake colours, pretty bows and ribbons, contrasting with a tight tacky PVC, giving a 'sweet and sticky' feel.

Year 2-Costume and Script Interpretation

Cabaret meets horror.................................................................the story of an asylum which holds a variety of mentally disturbed and troubled patients with many different stories to tell.  In the day, the asylum is a place of illness and stillness.  At night, it becomes a place of lust, horror freak shows and pure magnificence.  Each room holds something to imagination, acts like stripping, burlesque and singing, to the horrors of the freaks shows, the torture chambers and worse.  Your dreams come true, whatever you imagine you want to see, you see it.  You then get sucked into the asylum not knowing what's real and what's not; you become part of the sleazy and dirty underworld.

Shirt and Trouser project.

Military focus-RAF, WW1 mess wear, androgny, Britishness, tea and cake, classic yet edgy.

Contortion-How do you interpret it?

Marilyn Manson meets insects and broken bones.  I've made contortion more like distortion.

University Year 1-Fashion Materials and form:

Fashion Materials and form-a project which was about draping, gathering and creating shapes with fabrics.  I wanted to create to opposites, and so did using a bondage theme against a wild/free theme.  The end result..................A tight leather top tied at the back with rope, falling down into a tartan floor sweeping skirt with gathers and ruffles.  One part restrained, one part free and flowing.
